  Pascal Goeke studied geography and sociology in Frankfurt am Main, Eichstätt, and Nottingham. He holds a PhD in geography (Osnabrück) and completed his habilitation in Zürich. He currently works at the Department of Geography at the Ruhr-University Bochum and is a visiting fellow at the Forum Internationale Wissenschaft (Bonn). His most recent research deals with a social theory of markets and with philanthropic foundations.

  Evelyn Moser studied political sciences and economics in Mainz and Moscow. She holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Lucerne and is currently a research fellow at the Forum Internationale Wissenschaft (Bonn). Her research interests include the sociology of political regimes, economic sociology, the sociology of organisations, and the analysis of societal change in the post-Soviet sphere.
